McLean Engineering Company is proud to welcome the newest member of our team. Jeffrey Durrence joins McLean Engineering Company as an Engineer after 2 years as a Network Administrator at the City of Moultrie, GA. Jeffrey will oversee technology strategy and implementation and be involved in power engineering projects, focusing on projects where technology and power engineering intersect. Jeffrey provides McLean Engineering with technology capabilities to complement our technical capabilities. This additional capability will enhance McLean Engineering's ability to provide our clients with the excellent service they have come to expect, particularly as we look to energy efficiency and smart grid support.
Jeffrey is originally from Sylvania, Georgia. He obtained Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Georgia (UGA). Upon graduation and completion of the FE (EIT) Exam, Jeffrey worked as a Research Engineer at the UGA Tifton Campus. His research work was a continuation of his graduate project involving yield monitoring instrumentation in peanut and cotton harvesting equipment. In 1999, Jeffrey co-founded an information technology (IT) service business in Moultrie and operated this business until accepting a Network Administrator position with the City of Moultrie in 2007. At McLean Engineering, Jeffrey brings together his IT experience with his past engineering work to become a very valuable leader.
Jeffrey and his wife Laura have two children who routinely lead them around the Moultrie circuit of church, school and extracurricular activities.
